Football for Good… For Football

📆 In 2004 I started my professional journey in “Football for Good”. Crazy to think that´s almost 2 decades ago!

❓ But what is Football for Good?

👉 Football for Good initiatives tend to be not-for-profit and have social objectives at the core, such as health, education, sustainable livelihoods, gender equality, or employment, to name a few. They have tended not to focus on developing talented footballers, but rather have aspects of football in their social programs. This might include running social or educational classes on the football field, using football terminology that is relatable to young people in educational messaging, deploying football stars as role models and ambassadors, or adapting football drills and games for enhanced learning and enjoyment.

👀 But Football for Good running Football as well?

📌 The curious thing about many Football for Good organizations is that they also run football activities to people who are not able to access or afford football programs provided by football federations or clubs in their region. They often work with those most excluded. Some of the most reputable Football for Good organizations offer fantastic football opportunities.

❓ Football born out of a socially driven movement?

That´s Good Football! ⚽
