“Firsts” as a Board Director

Delighted to experience several "firsts" these past couple of days:

✔️First time in Lewes, a beautiful town nestled in the South Downs between Brighton and London, UK.

✔️ First time visiting The Dripping Pan, legendary home to Lewes Football Club and recently voted UK´s greatest football stadium.

✔️ First Board away day with fellow members of Lewes FC Board of Directors.

These were special "firsts" for me, but it was actually over two years ago - before having met anyone from the club or visiting the stadium, let alone the town of Lewes - that I signed up to become an Owner of the club. Because I felt back then, from afar, that it was the kind of football club I´d been wanting to see and be part of my whole life.

🌎 And there are 2100 more people from 35+ countries, like me, who also feel the same. In fact, I was elected to be on the Board by our global collective of Owners and the enormity of this task came to light at our Board away day!

Ownership in football has been at the forefront of much debate recently and several groundbreaking changes are underway. Web3 is disrupting the fabric of society as we know it. Meanwhile, the digitally native Gen Z value community and dialogue.

⚽ So what´s the Lewes FC ownership structure? As a platform for a better football, for equality, and for a better world, the club´s ownership structure invites YOU, whereever you´re from and whoever you are, to have an equal stake, share and voice in this movement and where YOU can express your true self in a community that aligns with your values and vision for the world.
