The richness of inter-generational, co-learning!

📚 I´m teaching an evening course this semester on the economics of professional football (soccer!) with a group of American students. We are on a journey together to analyze club ownership models, commercial and broadcasting deals, fans and consumerism, mega-events legacies, transfer market and player salaries, agencies and intermediaries, and technology and emerging blockchain-based innovations.

And of course, emphasizing the importance of people, societies, and sociocultural influences at the heart of everything.

🌍 I´m learning a lot from my students. They not only bring in comparisons from other sports in the US, but also come with their perspective of being part of Gen Z.

I realize that we often teach students about football business and football management based on how the sport is TODAY, but actually the sport they will enter in 5+ years’ time will be drastically different.

📢 Are you a student or young professional wanting to embark on a career in football? I´d love to connect with you and learn more about your experience of education in the sport thus far!
