Overwhelmed by the recent buzz of “Web 3.0”?

You´re not alone!

I dipped in and out of crypto over the years, but mostly a passive oberver from the sidelines. Like many, I remained mostly bewildered by the record-breaking highs and lows. And I certainly didn´t understand (or take time to look into) the origins and ideology of the original 2009 Bitcoin project.

🔎 About six months ago, I started to become more curious and committed to learning about bitcoin, subsequent blockchains, technological advancements and projects, and about the vast and diverse vibrant communities in this space.

One thing that has struck me has been the openness and the humility of people in this space, and that there are so many great minds and innovation around leveraging blockchain technology for a better world.

Everyone is different and everyone learns in their own unique way. My learning has consisted of the following:

⭕I joined BFF (https://www.mybff.xyz/), a new decentralized organization with a mission to help women and non-binary people get educated, connected, and financially rewarded in crypto and web3.

⭕ I participate, via Discord, in several learning communities, including Surge and WomenTribe. (https://www.surgewomen.io/ and https://womentribe.art/)  Unimidating spaces where no question is a silly question. There´s heaps of fantastic resources, articles, and advice.

⭕ I already had my Coinbase wallet setup, so I started researching women-led NFT projects and minted or purchased on the secondary market several NFTs at very reasonable prices, such as WowPixies (https://wowpixies.com/) and Meta Angels (https://www.metaangelsnft.com/) and joined these communities.

⭕ I´m intrigued by blockchain-based football intiatives, so I joined a couple of projects to understand what kinds of conversations football enthusiasts are having – footballxyz and Futera United.

⭕ I joined the Ethereum Barcelona Association, which is a collective that promotes in-person collaboration, networking, socializing and exchange. http://ethereum.barcelona/

⭕ I did a coding (web 2.0) bootcamp with Le Wagon to increase my knowledge and knowhow of tech and coding.

💡❔ How are you getting to grips with the future of the internet? I´d love to exchange about any recommendations and learnings you have!
