First of its kind Certification on Blockchain, Sport and Social Impact

Wrapping up the 1st cohort of the first-of-its-kind Certification on Blockchain, Sport, and Social Impact! 🎉 What was it about, who participated, and what's next?! 👇🏾

❓ Who participated?

👉🏾 320+ people.
👉🏾 From 46 countries.

Representing sports organizations, tech companies, development and humanitarian NGOS, women’s rights and gender advocacy organizations, universities, companies and CSR divisions.

❓ What did we cover?

Via an online course and a series of live Expert Q&As with industry leaders between October 2024 to January 2025, we explored how Web3 technology can enhance sport’s positive contributions to society.

We covered blockchain fundamentals, use-cases in sustainable development and sport - such as financial inclusion, governance, and fundraising, and how organizations like the United Nations, Save the Children International, and McLaren Racing are innovating in Web3 to further their goals. 🌎

❓ Who did we hear from?

We featured over 40 organizations and case studies from across Web3, sport, and social impact throughout the Certification.

We also had the privilege of having the following experts enthusiastically share their experiences, learnings, and advice with us all:

Alex Wilson, Co-Founder, The Giving Block.
Altug Ozturk, Senior Advisor at Chiliz Labs.
Bleu Blakslee, Senior Advisor for Emerging Markets and Philanthropy Partners, Save the Children US.
Dr. Jacob Naish, Founder at MIND3D and Advisor at READY.
Dr. Lennart Ante, Co-Founder at Blockchain Research Lab gGmbH.

❓ What's next?

READY and Chiliz have been putting our heads together for what’s next in the Includ3d Accelerator - which will include versions of the Certification in other languages to extend its global reach, as well as focus on specific social issues and themes, for which we have identified blockchain as having the greatest potential in addressing... Stay tuned! 👀

Here’s to continued learning, exchange, and Web3 innovation in 2025!
