Women’s football: a sport packed with innovation

❓⚽ ..... But as the world wakes up to how awesome it is (!) what do you think the future of innovation in the women's game will look like?

👉🏿 A lot of innovation in the women's game has come from having to overcome, sidestep, and negotiate an array of systemic challenges that have simply HELD WOMEN BACK for decades, including:

➡️ Outdated and centralised institutions.

➡️ Centralised power and control among a minority.

➡️ Poor governance and decision making.

➡️ Skewed and narrow perspective of “profit”.

........ BUT... What happens now as the rest of the world starts to wake up (men’s football - media - sponsors..)

❓How does that innovation continue, while the women’s game increasingly becomes absorbed into men’s game structures, decisions, and mindset?

❓ Will the experts of the women’s game still be at the forefront of driving the sport in this new context?

❓ How will the men’s game be impacted?

❓ Where will the next innovation come from? Geographic? Technological? Community-driven?

.......... What do YOU think the future of innovation in women’s football might look like? 🌎⚽
